Mobile Banking SMS Alert Facility <<Mobile Banking Alert Help>>

Karnataka Bank - Mobile Banking SMS facilities can be divided into two broad categories:

Alert Facility: Karnataka Bank Mobile Banking Alerts facility keeps you informed about the significant transactions in your Accounts. It keeps you updated wherever you go.

Request facility: Karnataka Bank Mobile Banking Requests facility enables you to query for your account balance. You have to send SMS to 9880654321 with KEYWORD to get the required details.

Mobile Banking Alerts - Karnataka Bank-Mobile Alerts provides you the following alerts:

  • Transaction Alert - You receive an alert when your account is credited/debited.
  • Cheque Bounce Alert - You receive an alert if the cheque you deposited in your A/c is not honoured.
  • Cheque Paid Alert - You receive an alert when any Cheque is paid from your A/c.
  • Clearing Cheque Deposited, Regularized - You receive an alert when Cheque deposited in clearing ,regularized.
  • Maturing Term Deposit Accounts - You receive an alert, before the maturity of your Term Deposit A/c.
  • Matured Term Deposit Accounts - You receive an alert, when Term Deposit A/c is matured.
  • Standing instructions to Operative Accounts - You receive an alert, when any Standing Instruction is executed in your A/c.

    Mobile Banking Requests - Karnataka Bank-Mobile Requests provides you the following requests:

  • KBAL - Account Balance Inquiry (KBAL password A/c Number or 'KBAL password' - for primary A/c balance)
  • KTRN - Last 5 transactions in your Account (KTRN password A/c No. )
  • KPWD - Change SMS password (KPWD present password new password)
  • KSUS - Suspend yourself from SMS Banking (KSUS password)


  • Note: For these services you have to register yourself for MoneyClickTM.


    Mobile SMS Alerts for Non-Internet Banking customers: <<SMS Alert Application Form>>

    New mobile SMS alert facility for Non Internet Banking customers will keeps you updated about all significant transactions in your account. You can avail this facility by submitting the duly filled SMS alert Application form in your base branch. Free SMS Alert facility is available to all transactions of Rs.1000 and above in Savings Bank Account , Rs 25000 and above in Current Accounts.For all other types of transactions Rs. 1/- per SMS will be charged on monthly basis.

    Note: Every mobile has a limitation for SMS INBOX to store the incoming SMS. Periodical deletion of messages from SMS INBOX is required for receiving SMS.


    Alert facility available to General Public:

    General public can query general details like nearest Karnataka Bank ATM location, Rate of Interest of Domestic Deposits, NRE/FCNR Depoists through SMS. Customers can send SMS to 9880654321 with the following key words to get the required details.

  • KBRN - Any mobile user can send the SMS with key word as 'KBRN' and starting first 5 letters of location name or pincode of that location to the above number, in reply system will send the address and phone number of Karnataka Bank's branch at that particular location. (eg. KBRN Malle or KBRN 560003 - will return Malleshwaram, Bangalore branch address and phone number)

  • KATM - Any mobile user can send the SMS with key word as 'KATM' and Pin code of that location to the above number in reply system will send the nearest ATM centre address of the Karnataka Bank. ex: KATM 560027

  • KNET - Any mobile user can send the SMS with key word as 'KNET' to the above number in reply system will send the list of Banks under ATM sharing network(NFS & CashTree) with Karnataka Bank.

  • KINT - When customer sends the SMS asking KINT, in reply system will send the latest Domestic Deposit interest rates of our Bank.
  • KNRE - to get the latest Interest Rates of NRE deposits.

  • KFCNR - to get the latest Interest Rates of FCNR deposits.

  • KRTG <pincode> - to get the IFSC code and Name of the branch (Karnataka Bank only) participating in RTGS, based on the pincode.


  • Note:
    • For these facilities, no separate registration process is required and will be freely available for all the general public.
    • SMS will not be delivered if registered with your service provider for DND (Do Not Disturb)
